1982-83 - The Beginning
Roscoe Googe is appointed to initiate Kennesaw College’s first track team.
1984-85 - An NAIA All-American
David Poteet moves from assistant to head coach.Jenifer Turner wins the NAIA District 400mhurdles championship and then earns All-American honors at the NAIA Nationals outdoor meet.
1985-86 - An NAIA Team Title
Women’s track wins the school’s first team championship by capturing the NAIA outdoor title. Jenifer Turner repeats as an NAIA All-American, this time in the triple jump.The men's team finishes second in the District.
1986-87 - Turner = A Three-Time All-American
Tim Bowman is named the new track coach and helps Jenifer Turner become a three-time All-American as she again places in the 400m hurdles at the NAIA National meet.Phil Richey is also named to the All-American team as a top finisher in the 10,000m run.
2000-01- A Pair of National Championships for Marjo
Marjo Venalainenmakes her only appearance in the NCAA Outdoor championships and wins both the 3000m and 5000m.Her 20 points earn the Owls a 13th place finish.
March 1, 2008 - Men Win First ASUN Title
The men's team wins its first ASUN Indoor title scoring 128 points. KSU won by 16 points over ETSU and won a total of four medals in the event. Jerome McKenzie won the gold medal in the high jump.

The men's team scores 170 points en route to its first ASUN title. Joshua McNair is named the outdoor meet’s Most Outstanding Field Performer.

February 27, 2010 - A Second Indoor Title for the KSU Men
KSU wins 22 medals and scores 187 points on the way to capturing the program's second ASUN title.

May 15, 2010 - Another ASU Outdoor Title for the KSU Men
KSU closes the outdoor season scoring 269 points to capture the ASUN Outdoor title. Joshua McNair is the Atlantic Sun outdoor track Most Valuable Performer, while Suzee Mills is the women’s outdoor Outstanding Field Performer.

Jerome McKenzie clears 2.05m (6'8.75") to finish 22nd in the high jump at NCAA Outdoor National Championships.

Former Kansas State assistant coach Andy Eggerth is named the first full-time track coach.
April 11, 2011 - Third Outdoor Title in Four Years
Men’soutdoor track wins their third ASUN championship in four years scoring 237 points. The Owls collected 16 medals and Andy Eggerth was named ASUN Coach of the Year.
June 10, 2011 - Josh McNair Earns All-American Honorable Mention Honors
Josh McNair was named an Honorable Mention All-American after finishing 20th in the shot put at the NCAA Track and Field Championships.

February 18, 2012 - KSU Wins Men's Indoor Title
KSU scores 177 points and wins 18 medals en route to winning the team title. Andy Eggerth is named ASUN Indoor Men's Coach of the Year.

June 7, 2012 - Parks Finishes 18th in 110m Hurdles at NCAA Outdoor Championships
Kennesaw State track and field standout Kendall Parks concludes his illustrious career with an 18th place finish in the NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships' semifinal race. Parks finished just off his personal best with a 13.90 in the 110-meter hurdles, failing to qualify for one of the top eight positions by .35 seconds.

February 23, 2013 - Another Indoor Title For the Men
On the backs of 19 medals and 228.5 points the KSU men win the indoor title. Andy Eggerth is named Coach of the Year. Andre Dorsey collected Field Athlete of the Year and Championship MVP honors. Bilal Abdullah was named ASUN Freshman of the Year.
June 7, 2012 - Dorsey Places 11th in Triple Jump at NCAA Indoor Championships
Andre Dorsey claimed second team All-American honors at the 2013 NCAA Indoor Championship with an 11th place triple jump of 15.72m. Dorsey became the first Kennesaw State track and field athlete to earn All-American honors since joining the Division I ranks in 2006.

KSU Scores 228.5 points and collects 20 medals to win the ASUN Outdoor team title. Andy Eggerth is named Coach of the Year. Andre Dorsey collected Field Athlete of the Year and Championship MVP honors. Bilal Abdullah was named ASUN Freshman of the Year.

June 13, 2013 - Five Athletes Represent KSU at NCAA Outdoor Championships
Cynthia Davis, Alicia Whittle, Kentrell White and Hannah Wood finished 15th in the women's 4x100m relay while Andre Dorsey secured 14th in the men's triple jump.

July 29, 2013 - Martynas Sedys Wins Hammer Throw at Lithuanian National Championships
KSU thrower Martynas Sedys (Marijampole, Lithuania) won the hammer throw at the Lithuanian National Championships with a throw of 62.52 meters.
February 22, 2014 - Third-Consecutive Indoor Title
Kennesaw State scores 211 points and wins 19 medals on the way to winning its third consecutive ASUN indoor title. Andre Dorsey won the long jump, triple jump and high jump to secure the Championship MVP and Field Athlete of the Year honors. Andy Eggerth earned Coach of the Year honors.

Andre Dorse competed in the long jump (11th place) , triple jump (11th place) and the high jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships.

May 17, 2014 - Men Win ASUN Outdoor Title in Dominant Fashion
The Kennesaw State men's won 13 of the 21 events and scored 311 points to win the ASUN title. The team collected 33 medals. KSU swept the Coach of the Year (Andy Eggerth), Championship MVP and Field Performer (Andre Dorsey), Most Outstanding Track Performer (Reagan Beal) and Most Outstanding Freshman Performer (Jalil Braxton). KSU finished 132.5 points ahead of second-place ETSU.

2014 - 4x100m Ladies Represent KSU at NCAA Outdoor Championships
The Kennesaw State women's 4x100 team ended their 2014 season as Second Team All-Americans. Alicia Whittle, Hannah Wood, Maileka Slayton and Martina Cernochova raced in the first heat of the 4x100 and placed 14th out of 24 teams with a time of 44.90 to earn the honor.
March 1, 2015 - Owls Four-Peat at the Atlantic Sun Championship
Kennesaw State earned its fourth-straight Atlantic Sun Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship as the Owls racked up 218 points behind 10 event wins and 29 All-Conference performances.

March 14, 2015 - Dorsey and Abdullah Compete at NCAA Indoor Championships
Bilal Abdullah finished fourth in the heptathlon scoring a personal-best 5,941 points. Abdullah earned First Team All-America honors. Dorsey finished 13th earning Second Team All-America honors.

May 16, 2015 - Outdoor Atlantic Sun Champions Again
Led by Joshua Mulder, Bilal Abdullah, Martynas Sedys and others Kennesaw State scores 273 points while capturing 26 medals to secure another outdoor team title. Andy Egggerth was named Coach of the Year and Josh Mulder took home Championship and Most Outstanding Field Performer.

Joshua Mulder finished 14th in the decathlon scoring 7,204 points. Mulder earned Second Team All-America honors. His 7,402 points rank second in program history.

March 2016 - No.26 Owls Win Fifth-Consecutive Conference Title at Atlantic Sun Championships
The No. 26 Kennesaw State men's track and field team won its fifth consecutive Atlantic Sun Conference Indoor Track Championship after collecting 23 medals, seven event wins and scoring 221 points. Andy Eggerth was once again named Coach of the Year. Bilal Abdullah was named the Championship MVP and Most Outstanding Field Performer. Terrell Singleton collected the Most Outstanding Track Performer award.
March 4, 2016 - Fourth-Consecutive Outdoor Title
The KSU men's track and field team won its fourth consecutive Atlantic Sun Conference Outdoor team championship This was program's seventh ASUN Outdoor title, which tied them with Troy for the most in conference history. The Owls won 30 medals and 12 events and 254 points. Andre Dorsey was named Championship MVP and Most Outstanding Team Performer. Andy Eggerth earned Coach of the Year honors. Sean Blassingame won gold in the 100m, 200m, 4x100m, 4x400m to earn Most Outstanding Track Performer.
June 10, 2016 - Dorsey Finishes 16 in High Jump at NCAA Outdoor Championships
Andre Dorsey cleared the bar at 2.09m (6'10.25) in the high jump which was good for a tie for 22nd place finish in the event. Dorsey ended his collegiate career a 16-time Atlantic Sun Individual Champion, a five time USTFCCCA Second Team All-American and a 27-time All-Conference selection. He holds multiple school records and was named ASUN Championship Most Valuable Performer five times.

July 7, 2016 - Two Owls Make History at U.S. Olympic Trials
Bilal Abdullah (long jump) and Andre Dorsey became the first pair of Owls to compete at the U.S. Olympic Trials in track and field.

The men and the women swept the team titles at the ASUN Indoor Championships. KSU scored 223 points and 249 points on the men's side. Andy Eggerth was named ASUN Coach of the Year on both sides. Jordan Gray and Dayo Akindele were named ASUN Most Valuable Performers.
May 13, 2017 - Another Sweep for the Owls
The men and the women swept the team titles at the ASUN Outdoor Championships. KSU scored 327 points on the men's side and 274.5 points on the women's side. Andy Eggerth was named ASUN Coach of the Year on both sides. Dayo Akindele was named ASUN Most Valuable Performer on the men's side.
July 7, 2016 - Gray and Powell Compete at NCAA Outdoor Championships
Jordan Gray finished with 5,621 points in the heptathlon. She earned First Team All-America honors and became the first Owl in program history to ever score points in an event at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on the women's side. Gray's two points earned the women's team a tie for 62nd place overall at the meet. Joscelyn Powell finished 21st in the 400m hurdle semifinals.
February 17th, 2018 - Seventh-Straight ASUN Indoor Title For The Men
The Owls scored 212 points and won their seventh consecutive indoor title on the men's side. The Owls collected 25 medals and eight event wins en route to the title. KSU won by 101 points. Andy Eggerth earned Coach of the Year honors. Chuck McConville won gold in the shot put and weight throw to collect Most Outstanding Field Performer honors. Dayo Akindele was named the Most Outstanding Peformer of the meet.
May 12, 2018 - A Second-Consecutive Outdoor Sweep for the Owls
The men and the women swept the team titles at the ASUN Outdoor Championships. KSU scored 277 points on the men's side and 261 points on the women's side. Andy Eggerth was named ASUN Coach of the Year on both sides. Paris Williams was named ASUN Most Valuable Performer on the men's side while Aliyah Whisby grabbed the Women's MVP award.
June 9, 2018 - Akindele and Whisby Compete at NCAA Track and Field Championships
Dayo Akindele finishes ninth in the long jump. Aliyah Whisby scores 5,490 points to finish 17th in the heptathlon.
November 9, 2018 - Cale McDaniel Era Begins
Kennesaw State names Cale McDaniel Director of Track and Field and Cross Country. McDaniel comes to KSU from Western Carolina where he was a student-athlete, assistant coach and head coach during his time in Cullowhee.
March 8, 2019 - Jordan Gray Competes in Two Events at NCAA Indoor Championships
Jordan Gray takes home the bronze medal in the pentathlon scoring a program-best 4,412 points. That third-place finish earned her First Team All-America honors. She would place 14th in the long jump and secure Second Team All-America honors.
June 5, 2019 - Haugh Wins National Championship
Daniel Haugh became KSU's first national champion in the Division I era. Haugh won the hammer throw with a toss of 74.63m (244'10"). The win also made him the first athlete from the ASUN Conference to win an NCAA Championship. The Marietta, Ga. native led after two throws with a toss of 72.55m (238'0). He would slide into fourth place headed into the finals where he landed the winning toss on his fifth throw of the day. He became the first Owl to earn Outdoor First Team All-America honors on the men's side in program history.
May 26, 2020 - Williams Earns All-America Honor
Paris Williams was named a USTFCCCA Indoor All-America. Due to the cancellation of the NCAA Division I Indoor Championships, the USTFCCCA Executive Committee adopted criteria for the 2020 indoor track and field season awards. The criteria states that all student-athletes on the start list for the championship be named All-America. Williams was scheduled to compete in the 60m hurdles at the NCAA Indoor Championships before it was cancelled due to global health concerns.
February 27, 2021 - Women Win ASUN Indoor Title
The Kennesaw State women's track and field team won its second ASUN Indoor Championship. The Owls entered the day trailing Liberty by 19 points. The Owls and the Flames went back and forth all day before KSU was able to grab the lead late and secure the victory. KSU's win marked the first time Liberty lost when hosting a conference championship meet in 12 tries. KSU won nine events, collected 29 medals and scored 223 points in the two-day meet.

March 13, 2021 - Hendrick Races at NCAA Indoor Championships
Sarah Hendrick ran a time of 2:04.36 to finish eighth in the finals of the 800m at the NCAA Indoor Championships. That finish earned her First Team All-America honors. Hendrick joins Jordan Gray as the only two Owls earn this honor.
June 12, 2021 - Hendrick and Rhea Compete at NCAA Outdoor Championships
Sarah Hendrick finished fifth in the 800m final with a time of 2:02.59 to earn First Team All-America honors. Jack Rhea finished 10th in the pole vault to grab Second Team All-American honors.
August 4, 2021 - Daniel Haugh competes in Hammer Throw at Tokyo Olympics
Daniel Haugh landed a toss of 76.22m (250'0") to finish 11th overall in the hammer throw at the Tokyo Olympics. The Olympics were pushed back to 2021 dude to global health concerns.
March 12, 2022 - Hendrick and Akins Compete at NCAA Indoor Championships
Sarah Hendrick ran a time of 2:06.81 to finish eighth in the finals of the 800m at the NCAA Indoor Championships.That finish earns her First Team All-America honors for the second consecutive season in the 800m. The Kennesaw native became the first KSU female athlete in the program's Division I history to be a two-time indoor First Team All-American. Jamsine Akins secured Second Team All-America honors with a 10th place finish in the long jump.
May 14, 2022 - Women Win ASUN Outdoor Title
Led by Sarah Hendrick, Jasmine Akins, Katie Meyer, Olivia Brown and others KSU wins six events and scores 210 points to win the title. The Owls won 19 medals in the two-day meet. Cale McDaniel was named ASUN Women's Outdoor Coach of the Year. Sarah Hendrick was named the ASUN Women's Outdoor Most Valuable Performer scoring 22 points.

Sarah Hendrick finished fifth in the 800m final with a time of 2:02.19 to earn First Team All-America honors at the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field.
June 21, 2022 - Hendrick Selected to CoSIDA Academic All-American Second Team
Sarah Hendrick was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-American second team making the first Owl in program history to earn a CoSIDA Academic team honor. She earned the award after earning a pair of First Team All-American honors on the track while also posting a strong GPA while majoring in nursing.
October 22, 2022 - Announcement of a New Journey
After over 17 years at the Division I level, Kennesaw State athletics announced a move to Conference USA and NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision, effective July 1, 2024.
March 11, 2023 - Rogers Wins National Championship
Isaiah Rogers won the weight throw in thrilling fashion. He grabbed the lead early with a toss of 23.12m (75'10.25"). He held the lead until the fifth throw when Alabama's Bobby Colantino grabbed the lead with a toss of 23.40m (76'9.25."). Rogers captured the victory on his final throw with a toss of 24.23m (79'6") to clinch the victory. With the win Rogers becomes KSU's second national champion in the Division I era and the second athlete from the ASUN Conference to win an NCAA Championship.
March 12, 2023 - Hendrick Earns Fifth-Consecutive First Team All-America Honor
Sarah Hendrick ran a time of 2:O3.21 to finish fifth in the finals of the 800m at the NCAA Indoor Championships. That finish earned her First Team All-America honors for the third consecutive season in the 800m indoors. Her finish was the second highest by an Owl woman at the NCAA Indoor Championships. The Kennesaw native became the first KSU female athlete in the program's Division I history to be a three-time indoor First Team All-American.
June 7-10, 2023 - Six Owls Battle at NCAA Outdoor Championships
The Kennesaw State track and field teams will had a program-high six athletes compete in seven events at the 2023 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Isaiah Rogers, Courtney Lawrence and Sarah Hendrick all left Austin with Second Team All-America honors.
June 28, 2023 - Hendrick Named to CoSIDA Academic All-American First Team
Sarah Hendrick was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-American First Team after another incredible season on the track and in the classroom.
February 16, 2024 - A World Record!
Daniel Haugh won the hammer throw for the third time with a personal-best toss of 26.35m (86'5.5"). That mark established a new world record, United States record and facility record. His throw shattered the previous world record by almost two feet. The previous world record had been in place since March 4, 1995.
February 24, 2024 - One Last ASUN Indoor Sweep
The Kennesaw State men's and women's track and field teams earned first-place finishes at the ASUN Indoor Championships. The men's team scored 235.5 points and the women's team collected 174.5 points.
The KSU men's team collected its 10th team title while the women's team collected it's third. KSU is the only men's program to have won 10 indoor track and field team titles in ASUN Conference history.

May 12, 2024 - Ending with a Sweep
The Kennesaw State men's and women's track and field teams earned first-place finishes at the ASUN Outdoor Championships scoring 252 points on the men's side and 181 points on the women's side.Cale McDaniel was named ASUN Men's and Women's Coach of the Year. The KSU men became the only program in ASUN history to have won 10 outdoor track and field team championships.
