Program Description
The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program within the School of Health Professions (SHP) at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) is a three year entry-level professional program. Graduates of the TTUHSC DPT Program are qualified to apply for State Licensure and sit for the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE). The mission of the DPT program is to educate students to be autonomous, evidence-based practitioners who improve the health of people through the application of their clinical skills, collaboration with other health care professionals, and commitment to life-long learning and community service. The DPT program is offered on three campuses: Lubbock, Amarillo and Odessa. The physical facilities at the three campuses include modern, high tech teaching and laboratory equipment designed to facilitate an optimal learning environment. Consistent with the TTUHSC Mission and School of Health Professions (SHP) Mission, faculty of the DPT program are committed to teaching, research, and service.

The DPT program at TTUSHC is one program located across three campuses: Amarillo, Lubbock, and Odessa. The admissions committee reviews and considers applicant rationale for campus preference when making admissions decisions. Applicants are notified of their campus assignment when offered admission into the DPT program.

The TTUHSC program is a member institution of the American Council of Academic Physical Therapy (ACAPT) and abides by the published ACAPT admissions traffic rules. The payment of the placement guarantee fee needs to be completed by January 15th. If your offer deadline is after this date, then your payment deadline is the same as your contract deadline.
