It's hard to say why Q wanted to quit the game because his explanation was unclear. “It’s not me giving up. Trust me, I wanna play, and I’ve been playing since day 1." Q told the tribe and host, Jeff Probst. "But again, when something don’t sit right with me, and I feel partially responsible for it, I’ve got to own up to it and say, ‘You know what? I’m not going to steal somebody else’s joy and dream...’,” Q added. The tribe didn't do what Q asked and voted out Tevin Davis instead.

Q has exhibited a pattern of surrender all season long. During the premiere episode of Survivor 46, Q and eliminated player David Jelinksy quit the Yanu sweat task. During his exit interview later in episode 1, Jelinski claimed that quitting that task was Q's idea. Then, on day 10, when fellow contestant Kenzie Petty commented on how neither of them would ever quit, Q replied, “I might. It’s not giving up. It’s accepting it.”

After losing a challenge at one point, Q asked the tribe to vote him out, but they talked him out of it. Even during episode 8, Q was the first player willing to throw the challenge in exchange for a bag of rice. The exchange may have been the smarter strategy, but it still serves as another example of Q being willing to quit when the going gets tough.

Therefore, one can only hazard a guess as to his motives for any move he makes in the game!" Since Jeff knows how the season ends, his statements could imply that Q sticks around well into Survivor 46.

Though the winner of Survivor 46 is unknown, it's hard to see how Q wins the game. Q has repeatedly proven that he is willing to quit when the going gets tough. During episode 8, when there weren't enough players willing to quit to earn a bag of rice, Q complained that other players were delusional about their chances of outlasting Hunter McKnight. "You think you gonna hang on a damn poll longer than Tarzan?" The comment was very illustrative of Q's thinking. If Q doesn't see how he can beat Hunter, Q may as well go home now.
